Information for CBD Brands
My goal isn’t to promote or criticize companies for the sake of it. It’s to give shoppers the information I wish I had when I first started researching CBD.
If You Find an Error
Accuracy is extremely important to me.
If a review contains incorrect information, outdated information, or something that was misunderstood, let me know and provide any supporting documentation you have. I’ll review it as quickly as possible and make corrections when they’re warranted.
I don’t want inaccurate information on this site any more than you do.
If You Disagree With a Review
Sometimes the issue isn’t a factual error; it’s simply that a brand disagrees with a score, conclusion, or recommendation.
If the information in a review is accurate and supported by evidence, the review will generally remain as published. However, I’m always willing to take another look to make sure everything is fair, balanced, and presented in the proper context.
My goal is not to “catch” brands doing something wrong. My goal is to evaluate brands consistently and honestly.
Requesting a Re-Review
If your company has made meaningful improvements since a review was published, you’re welcome to reach out and request a re-review.
Examples might include:
Improved lab testing practices
Better transparency or disclosures
Ingredient reformulations
New certifications
Significant changes to customer policies
Improvements to product quality
Because I’m a team of one and reviews take a considerable amount of time to complete, I generally reserve re-reviews for brands that have made substantial, verifiable changes. Minor website updates or cosmetic changes typically won’t qualify for a full re-review.
About Affiliate Links
Some reviews contain affiliate links, which may earn me a small commission if a purchase is made.
Those relationships do not influence my scores, recommendations, rankings, or conclusions. A brand cannot pay for a higher score, a better ranking, or a favorable review.
In fact, some of the brands I recommend most highly have no affiliate relationship with me at all.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I pay to improve my review score?
No.
Review scores cannot be purchased, negotiated, or influenced through sponsorships, advertising, affiliate partnerships, free products, or any other form of compensation. My reviews are based on the information available and how a brand performs against my scoring criteria.
I found an error in my review. What should I do?
Please reach out and let me know.
If something is factually incorrect, I’ll investigate it and make corrections as quickly as possible. Accuracy is incredibly important to me, and I appreciate brands that take the time to point out legitimate mistakes.
I disagree with part of my review. Will you reconsider it?
I’m always willing to take another look.
If you believe something lacks important context or was misunderstood, feel free to explain your concerns and provide supporting information. While I won’t change a review simply because a brand disagrees with the outcome, I am happy to review additional information to ensure everything is fair and accurate.
Can I request a re-review?
Yes.
If your company has made meaningful improvements since the original review was published, you’re welcome to contact me and request a re-review. Because reviews take a significant amount of time to complete, I generally reserve re-reviews for brands that have made substantial, verifiable changes rather than minor updates.
What kinds of changes might qualify for a re-review?
Every situation is different, but examples could include:
Improved lab testing practices
Better transparency and disclosures
Ingredient reformulations
New certifications
Significant product improvements
Meaningful changes to customer policies
If you’re unsure whether your changes qualify, feel free to ask.
How quickly do you update reviews?
It depends on the request and my current workload.
Factual corrections are generally prioritized. As a one-person operation, I carefully review every request myself, so response times can vary.
Will you remove a negative review?
No.
Reviews are not removed simply because a brand disagrees with the conclusions or receives a lower score than expected. However, if a review contains inaccurate information, I’ll correct it, and if new information significantly changes the overall picture, I’ll update the review accordingly.
Do affiliate partnerships affect your reviews?
No.
Affiliate relationships do not influence my scores, rankings, recommendations, or conclusions. Brands cannot pay for a better review, a higher ranking, or more favorable coverage.
Do you accept free products?
Sometimes.
However, receiving a product does not guarantee a review, a positive review, or a review at all. Any product that is reviewed will still be evaluated using the same standards and scoring criteria applied to every other brand.
How are your review scores determined?
Each review follows a standardized scoring system focused on trust and transparency, ingredient quality, and third-party lab testing. My goal is to evaluate brands consistently so consumers can make more informed comparisons.
I have information that wasn’t available when the review was published. Can I send it to you?
Absolutely.
If there is relevant information that wasn’t available during the original review process, I’d be happy to take a look. The more supporting documentation you can provide, the easier it is for me to evaluate and verify the information.
What’s the best way to contact you about a review?
Please use the contact form and include the brand name, the review URL (if applicable), and a detailed explanation of your question or concern. The more information you provide upfront, the faster I can look into it.
